Solar Energy Panels May Well Open Up A New Environmentally Supportive Horizon For Householders Who Want To Do Something About The Greenhouse Effect.

If a domestic customer can afford the Solar Energy Prices and then goes ahead and has a Solar Panels system located, there could be a chance that the domestic customer will see this as a forward thinking step towards helping climate change. For this to happen, the domestic customer could have something of a pro renewable energy epiphany, to show them the openings that a Solar Panels system can bring. Once the domestic customer realises the savings they can make from their Solar Panels system, this could spur them on to trying to lower the family’s power demand to reduce their dependency on their utility firm further.

The savings that the domestic customer can make really are based on how efficient they are at using power compared to how the Solar Panels system makes it. This could well be significant if the family has a member at home during the day, which is when the Solar Panels system will be delivering power mainly. During the day is the best time to use devices with a heavy power demand, like washing machines, so that the domestic customer could well not need to draw extra power from the utility firm, using the Solar Panels system fully and getting good return for the Solar Electricity Costs paid.

Naturally the domestic customer would not simply pay the Solar Electricity Costs and want nothing in return from their Solar Panels system. The Solar Electricity Costs for a standard family home are approximately £12,000, for which the homeowner receives a Solar Panels system capable of delivering approximately 2.7 kW. This capacity Solar Panels system is assessed to be approximately 50% of the standard family’s power demand, so this could well be the main saving for the domestic customer. In addition the government launched the feed in tariff scheme which pays home owners with renewable energy systems, for each kWh their Solar Panels system, or wind turbine, makes. Also, if their Solar Panels system makes surplus power and this is then distributed to the grid, they are paid for this. The total savings and payments could be approximately £1,170 per year, giving a reimbursement period of 10 to 11 years for the Solar Electricity Costs.

On the climate change side this capacity of Solar Panels system is assessed to save the production of 1.2 tonnes of CO2 per year.
